Amanda's Tutorials
Guardian tutorial #1

A lot of people have asked me how I go about drawing the Page Guardians.
I use Photoshop 6, a completely fabulous program. If you don't have Photoshop, you could use Paintshop Pro (PSP) - it's shareware so it's easy to get off the net - you can find it at download.cnet.com. Most of my earliest Gs were created with PSP.
Isabeau, the Star Trek Guardian is a good example, as she incorporates
most of the different aspects of the Page Guardians.
(Isabeau comes from Amanda's
Page Guardians).
Start a new image with a white background. 300 x 300 pixels is quite a good space to work with.
It's a good idea to begin with a simple circle drawing.
Use the circle tool (in either program) to create a very, very basic design for your image. A circle for the head, two ovals for each arm, and so on. I also use a circle to define the hips.
