Japanese Sushi - Egg option
Cook: Amanda Penrose
I, too, make California Rolls often, and was very pleased to find that Thori's recipe is nearly identical to my own! Fantastic really, since we are on opposite sides of the world :-)
I only have one option to add - Sushi egg...
2 tbs sugar
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp flour
Mix ingredients and fry in a big pan so that it's flat and thinish.
Cool, cut into strips and add to Sushi (see previous recipe).
Don't let your loved ones start on this before you put it in the Sushi, because it's very yummy and you won't have much left!
You can also add a little wasabi (Japanese horseradish) to your Sushi - I get this in a little tube at my supermarket - but it's not a bad idea to do some with and some without and warn people which is which - unless of course you want to see their reaction to a mouthful of wasabi for the first time - but we wouldn't be that cruel, would we?
