Star Trek - Stories
Full
name: Sharii M'Lira
Race: Andorian
Background: Sharii was brought up in a relatively large
inland Andorian co-operative (around 100 members). The co-operative
was generally dedicated to natural sciences, particularly botany,
and Sharii's parents encouraged her along those same lines. The
nomadic group traveled widely, and Sharii was continuously delighted
in finding 'new' flora to study.
As a young woman, she learned about Starfleet in a visit to a coastal city, and immediately made up her mind to join. Despite resistance from prejudiced coastal Andorians, and the resistance of her own co-operative, she fought hard to convince everyone that Starfleet was where she belonged. She was accepted into the academy, and finally, with the blessing of her family, she left for earth.
Sharii graduated with honours in natural sciences and medicine. Assigned to the USS Challenger in 2375 Sharii is now eagerly anticipating her first voyage as a member of her crew.
Physical: Average slight Andorian figure, belying quite
powerful physical strength.
Shortish for an Andorian - 1.7m (5ft 8)
Born in 2353.
Personal:
Quick temper, but just as quickly assuaged. One almost unfortunate incident
narrowly averted when a foolish young cadet tried to touch an antenna
- Sharii was
able to control her temper with the help of friends, and the young man
got away with only slight bruising. Unusual (for an Andorian) trust of
friends. Has difficulty understanding prejudice, for example, that of
a Bajoran friend. Brought up in a caring environment, she is a little
naive in this area.
